NATURAL GAS AWARENESS
for FIREFIGHTERS and FIRST RESPONDERS

Train the Trainer Program

o A program for all BC firefighters
o Provides information on natural gas emergencies (gathering, transmission and distribution lines)
o Developed by the Natural Gas Industry in B.C. Input from:

» Spectra Energy
» Terasen Gas
» PNG
» Alliance Pipeline
» Trans Canada

o Developed in conjunction with the BCFTOA this program is 7 hours in length
o Fire Department representative(s) attend the host fire department training location
o Each fire department is encouraged to send at least one member

Train the Trainer model -
The instructor candidate will receive the training package at the end of the program if successful - with the module exams that are worked through with the program

Program Confirmations: will occur 14 days prior to the program date. Confirmation will be sent via email, included in the email will be the course location. Confirmations will only be sent if the program has the minimal amount of numbers to run. There will be a $100.00 fee to department for no shows.
